Bible Story: I can tell others about God
Jesus Teaches at the Temple: Luke 2:41-50
Mary, Joseph and little Jesus went on a long journey to Jerusalem for the Passover celebration. Once they reached the city they stopped at the temple where many people were celebrating God. They joined in and when it was all over they decided to leave. However after some time Mary and Joseph realized Jesus was not with them. They went back to the city and found Jesus in the temple teaching others about God! The teachers were shocked to see Jesus who was only a kid at the time know so much about God. Jesus as a boy showed just how kids can do some pretty incredible things.
Try reviewing this story with your little one to remind them that we don’t have to be worried so long as we remember that I can tell others about God.
You can use this guide to revisit this lesson throughout your week:
This month we are going through a series about Creativity. We have also defined Creativity as imagining what you could do because your made in God’s image.
Our memory verse for this month is found in Psalms 139:14
This week we looked to Genesis 1:1-25, In the beginning….. I mean the very beginning, God set out to create the universe and all the creation within it. He made the planets, stars, the sun and the moon, but most importantly he made the earth and all we see and know today. When we look all around us we see that are beautifully and creatively made.
Bottom Line: God made everything. We pray that by knowing this message that will help the kids learn how God’s creativity is not only all around but within us, and to use it for Gods plan for their lives.
You can help your child remember this all through the week with these take home materials.
