The holidays bring us our Christmas series The Big Give: Think Outside the Box! where we are talking about Generosity: Making someone’s day by giving something away!
Every good and perfect gift comes from God. In fact, generosity is a massive part of who God is – we know this because even though did not have to, he sent his only son Jesus who wanted to give his life so we could live in him! Jesus’ gift to us also shows us that we can give to others too! 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 says “God loves a cheerful giver. Think back to a time where you gave something to someone and remember the feeling it gave you….. maybe all warm and fuzzy inside and a lot of joy to see them be so thankful for the gift you gave them. That amazing feeling is there because God wants us to be able to give to others and know that it is good. Not only that but when we are generous towards others, we prove that we love God by loving the people He loves. We pray that this Christmas, as kids celebrate God’s amazing generosity, they’ll see how they can be generous with their family, friends, and neighbors.
The Key Questions:
What do you have to give?
Why is it important to give to others?
What are some ways you can give this Christmas?
What does Christmas mean to you?
How can you be more generous?
December brings us so much joy, and we are equally as so with all that is in store this Christmas Season!
